friends, family, curious and bored, welcome to my personal time machine.
Is it Strix varia? We don't have that in Europe but Strix uralensis is a very similar species. I have never seen one in the nature, how cool that you were able to take a photograph of your Strix! They are huge and so beautiful.
Forgot to add, my favourite owl:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strix_nebulosa
it is strix varia, but I want to see your Strix uralensis!I always feel very lucky when I see an owl. I once saved a barred owl, touched it and everything.
Was that on the dog hike yesterday?
um, no.
