I drove down there for an entirely different reason, and I did not get a chance to see inside, because it was closed. I always wonder though, does the river smell in the summer?
no, the mississippi moves so fast and goes through so much water there is not much of a chance to get a smell.
My gparents took their boat through it once and said all the sediment polished their prop nicely
